The Lovers

The Lovers is another archetypal image burned with pyrography. For me this piece represents union with the beloved. Other as beloved and oneself as beloved. It's the Hieros Gamos, the alchemical marriage. The Divine Union that becomes possible when you find the sacred third within any polarity. She is the land, the water, the flora and fauna, the beating heart of the earth. He is her sheltering sky and connection to the stars.
